etasha.png ETASHA Society is a non-profit working to enable economic and social empowerment of youth and women from marginalized communities through employability, entrepreneurship development, and livelihood support. Through Project Kamyaabi, it empowers women in Nuh district with entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and digital literacy training, supporting 150 women-led micro-enterprises with peer-learning networks and market linkages.

Role

The Marketing Officer will facilitate market access and business growth opportunities for women-led enterprises supported under Project Kamyaabi, reporting to the Senior Project Coordinator for a 1-year full-time engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify viable market opportunities and buyers for women-led products and services in local, block and nearby district markets.
  • Facilitate participation in exhibitions, fairs and community markets.
  • Train women entrepreneurs on product ideas, customer interaction, digital marketing where useful, and sales techniques.
  • Support business stability by tracking sales, revenue, reinvestment and plans for growth.
  • Guide entrepreneurs on branding, packaging and pricing.
  • Organise market visits, buyer-seller meets, exhibitions and community launch events that put women entrepreneurs in front of customers.
  • Build bulk marketing and joint buying and selling through the entrepreneur collective.
  • Establish connections with traders, retailers and wholesalers, and set up supply chain links.
  • Liaise with local traders, self-help groups and government marketing schemes such as PMEGP, PMMY and PM SVANidhi.
  • Conduct rapid market assessments to find demand and new openings.
  • Carry out weekly and monthly market trend analysis and share what you learn with the team and the women entrepreneurs.
  • Document success stories, photographs and market performance data for donor reports and communications.

Requirements

  • Graduate in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in rural sales, marketing, or promoting micro-enterprises and their products.
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills.
  • Good knowledge of local markets.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to work in a field role with challenging living conditions and limited access to amenities, including staying in basic accommodation near the project areas.
  • Readiness to travel extensively across 21 villages and local and regional markets.
