Noora Health works to strengthen health systems by turning hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms, training family members to care for their loved ones. Founded in 2014, Noora Health has trained more than 58 million caregivers and patients across over 16,300 facilities, with support from governments and partners across India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal. In one patient cohort, this training reduced post-surgical cardiac complications by 71%, maternal complications by 12%, and newborn mortality by 18%.

This role is implemented in partnership with YosAid Innovation Foundation, which works with health systems in India to promote innovative healthcare practices and skills among patients and their families. As part of this partnership, YosAid supports Noora Health in delivering the Care Companion Program across India, helping equip family caregivers with the knowledge they need to care for their loved ones.

Role

The Medical Support Executive will support Noora Health's WhatsApp based Remote Engagement Service, which follows up with families after the Care Companion Program. This role involves answering medical and non-medical questions from patients and families in Punjabi, translating queries for the medical team, and documenting conversations as per protocol. It also includes calling families directly and conducting surveys when needed. The role is remote and requires strong communication skills in Punjabi

Responsibilities

• Respond to questions from patients and families on the Remote Engagement Service, following the training given by the team.
• Call families when a question needs a conversation, speaking with them in Punjabi or Hindi.
• Translate questions from Punjabi and Hindi into English so the medical team can read and answer them.
• Record call details in the format given by the team.
• Document every conversation according to the service protocols.
• Manage the technology platforms behind the service, including Copilot, RapidPro, Turn, TextIt and WhatsApp.
• Keep the Remote Engagement Service reports on the shared drive up to date.
• Conduct surveys with families when the team needs them.
• Take part in other activities that support the Remote Engagement Service.

Requirements

• A BSc Nursing degree.
• Freshers from a BSc Nursing background are welcome to apply.
• One to two years of clinical experience is good to have.
• Fluency in speaking, reading and writing Punjabi.
• Willingness to have your language skills tested, so the team knows you can talk with families and with the medical team.
• Proficiency in Hindi is preferred.
• Comfort using an Android phone for daily work.
• Comfort using a laptop and web browsers.
• Comfort using Gmail and other common online tools.
• Willingness to learn the platforms the service runs on, such as RapidPro / Turn / TextIt / WhatsApp.
• Care and accuracy in documenting conversations to a set protocol.
• Availability for an eight hour working day.
