Role

This is a 15 month consultancy supporting the Madhya Pradesh government's Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK), a state initiative that uses data to improve school education. The consultant will help analyze education data systems like UDISE+ and EMIS, track student progress, and support efforts to identify and help at-risk and out-of-school children.

Responsibilities

• Analyze education data from state systems like UDISE+ and EMIS
• Identify gaps and bottlenecks in current data systems
• Prepare clear reports and recommendations for government decision makers
• Support the tracking of at-risk and out-of-school children
• Coordinate with government teams and departments on data related tasks
• Help build databases suited to local and contextual needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or B.Tech
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, report writing, and documentation
• Experience working with EMIS data, education policy, or practice
• Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, especially Excel
• Experience working with government administrative systems
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and English
• Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills
• Ability to work well within teams
• Experience with out-of-school children data is a plus
• Knowledge of SPSS is a plus
• Contract Duration – 15 months, Working arrangement: Remote with travel
