Samarpan Foundation

ama (1).jpg Samarpan Foundation is a charitable not-for-profit organisation set up in September 2006 in New Delhi. It offers support and assistance wherever there is a humanitarian, environmental or animal welfare need. The foundation works as a community guided by a simple principle: do what needs to be done to achieve the greatest good for the greatest number. Its stated vision is to shed light even in the darkest corner, and its mission is to change universal consciousness by opening minds and hearts. This role sits within Samarpan Foundation's operations team, which keeps projects, records, partnerships and stakeholder communication running from the Delhi head office.

Role

The Operations Executive supports the day-to-day running of Samarpan Foundation's work. You will keep project data organised, prepare reports that internal teams and outside stakeholders rely on, maintain HR paperwork, and help the foundation build and look after its partnerships. The role reports directly to the Operations Manager and suits someone who likes varied work, moves easily between people and paperwork, and can start new pieces of work on their own.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the collection, compilation and organisation of data from multiple projects.
  • Carry out basic data analysis and bring project-level information together for internal reporting.
  • Liaise with donors, volunteers and other stakeholders over email and in meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain HR documents and letters, including appointment letters, experience letters and gratitude letters.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports on time, keeping internal and external stakeholders updated.
  • Support the search for and outreach to potential partnership opportunities.
  • Coordinate activities for both new and existing partnerships.
  • Provide operational support so partnership initiatives and programmes run well.
  • Respond to questions from beneficiaries and stakeholders, giving timely help and following up where needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and reports on partnerships and beneficiary support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams so daily operational activities run smoothly.
  • Take on other administrative and operational tasks assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements

  • B.A. or M.A. in social work, development studies or another relevant field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the social development sector; freshers can apply.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills.
  • Comfortable working with people from diverse groups, communities and affiliations.
  • Statistical knowledge and the ability to work with numbers.
  • Able to work independently and present different narratives.
  • Able to handle several tasks at once and start and lead new initiatives.
  • Empathy, a diverse outlook and openness to new experiences.
  • Motivated by community development and empowerment.
  • Flexible, keen to learn, and happy with varied work.
  • Committed to the foundation's core values as an active change-maker.
  • Based in Delhi, where the head office is located.

Benefits

  • Work directly with the Operations Manager and see how a small charitable foundation runs end to end.
  • Varied work across operations, HR documentation, reporting and partnerships rather than a single narrow function.
  • Room to introduce and lead new initiatives.
  • Contact with donors, volunteers, partners and the communities the foundation serves.
  • Annual compensation of ₹2,58,000 to ₹3,06,000.
