Role

Support the implementation, documentation, and reporting of a urban health project in Karnataka focused on strengthening city and peri-urban coordination to prepare for future disease threats. This role works closely with the City Coordinator and field teams across multiple project components.

Responsibilities

  • Orient project staff on their roles and provide day-to-day guidance and reporting support
  • Ensure baseline data collection using secondary sources is completed on time and reports are prepared
  • Compile monthly deliverables with project staff and support preparation and review of technical briefs, including translation where needed
  • Compile and share field visit reports with the City Coordinator and Project Lead for review and archiving
  • Report on review meetings, stakeholder meetings, and online discussions for final sharing
  • Plan and support field documentation, testimonial videos, and other documentation activities in consultation with stakeholders and donors
  • Support procurement and monitoring of project resources and deliverables
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly work plans with the field team and track progress through weekly updates with state and national teams
  • Ensure all documents required for submission to stakeholders and donors are prepared on time
  • Document innovations and best practices and orient staff on relevant frameworks
  • Participate in field visits and support development of tools that capture the project's work beyond data and numbers

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Studies, Population Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management or documentation roles in Karnataka, preferably under NUHM, Urban Health, Disease Surveillance, One Health Activities, or the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme
  • Good understanding of Karnataka's health systems is essential
  • Familiarity with disease surveillance and One Health approaches
  • Knowledge of tools for creating case studies, testimonial videos, and other audio-visual content
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple tasks at once
  • Candidates with local knowledge of Karnataka and experience in its health systems will be preferred
