Protsahan India Foundation

Protsahan India Foundation works to end child abuse so that girls growing up in vulnerable situations can reach adulthood safely, with education, healthcare and freedom from violence. Girls and children who have lived through abuse get access to healing, care, gender justice and the support they need for their physical, social and mental well-being. Protsahan nurtures Girl Champions from socially excluded backgrounds, bringing them 21st-century skills that build self-learning, confidence and economic independence. Alongside this direct work, Protsahan builds grassroots partnerships focused on healing childhood trauma through training, research and advocacy, strengthening the child protection ecosystem in remote parts of India. This role sits within Protsahan's programme team, which supports Girl Champions and alumni as they move from learning into work. images (44).jpg

Role

The Program Executive for Placements and Partnerships opens doors for Girl Champions and alumni: jobs, internships, training and exposure to the world of work. You will build relationships with companies, training institutes, NGOs and other organisations, then walk alongside each young woman as she prepares for interviews and steps into employment. Much of the work is relationship building and careful follow-up, done with sensitivity to what these girls have lived through.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with current Fellows aged 18 to 25 and with alumni to support their careers and job growth.
  • Identify suitable job and internship openings and connect Girl Champions to them.
  • Build partnerships with companies, NGOs and other organisations that can offer employment.
  • Find training and upskilling opportunities for Fellows and alumni.
  • Coordinate corporate, industry, factory and other exposure visits.
  • Maintain accurate records of placements, internships and partnerships, and follow up regularly.
  • Coordinate interviews between employers and Fellows, and make sure Fellows can attend them without difficulty.
  • Support the planning and logistics of exposure visits, training sessions and other programme activities.
  • Work with internal teams, participants and external partners so activities run smoothly.
  • Negotiate opportunities and partnership terms that work in the interest of Fellows.
  • Plan activities ahead of time and see them through.
  • Take part in mandatory training, stay open to feedback, and uphold Protsahan's values and the rights of Girl Champions.

Requirements

  • Graduate or post-graduate in any discipline.
  • A background in Social Work, Education or a related field is preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in placements, partnerships, NGOs or community-based programmes.
  • Strong communication, networking, coordination and documentation skills.
  • Good communication skills in Hindi; proficiency in English is an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Google Workspace and everyday digital tools.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with corporates, training institutes and NGO partners.
  • Ability to juggle interviews, exposure visits and training schedules at the same time.
  • Care with data: keeping placement, partnership and follow-up records accurate.
  • Negotiation skills for securing opportunities on good terms for Fellows.
  • Basic understanding of the skilling ecosystem and entry-level job market.
  • Empathy and a trauma-informed, sensitive approach when working with girls.
  • High integrity and discretion in handling confidential information about Fellows and alumni.
  • Willingness for need-based travel between the Vikas Nagar and Dwarka centres and the Janakpuri admin office.

Benefits

  • A full-time role at an organisation recognised for its work on child protection and gender justice.
  • Mandatory training and ongoing professional development, with regular feedback.
  • Direct contact with the young women whose lives change because of this work.
  • Exposure to corporate, training and NGO networks across Delhi.
  • Compensation commensurate with experience.
