RightWalk Foundation works to reduce social and economic inequality in India. It works with state governments to shape public policy in education, livelihoods and health, then turns those policies into real results on the ground. In Gujarat, RightWalk supports the Gujarat Apprenticeship Mission to help young people move from training into jobs and apprenticeships. It uses its Chatur AI Platform and Propel LMS to track each student's journey from first sign-up to placement. This role sits within RightWalk's Gujarat Apprenticeship Mission team, which runs large job readiness and apprenticeship programmes for youth across the state.

Role

As Program Manager – Operations, you will own the day-to-day running of RightWalk's job readiness and apprenticeship programme in Gujarat. You will turn plans into steady, well-organised work across ITIs, colleges, government offices and field teams. Your job is to make sure the programme runs on time and on budget, with clear and reliable data at every step from student onboarding to placement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run job readiness and apprenticeship programmes across partner ITIs and colleges.
• Lead student onboarding on the Chatur AI platform and registration for NAPS IDs.
• Oversee baseline and endline assessments and the 10, 20, 30 and 60-hour learning pathways.
• Lead and mentor field coordinators and trainers.
• Work closely with the Gujarat Apprenticeship Mission and other government partners.
• Build partnerships with institutions and employers so more young people take up apprenticeships.
• Track enrolment, attendance, assessment and job conversion numbers on Propel LMS.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for RightWalk leaders, government partners and donors.
• Run quality checks and act on feedback from the field.
• Follow organisational and government rules and keep the programme compliant.
• Manage programme budgets, staffing and vendors.
• Write and put in place simple, standard ways of working that can grow with the programme.

Requirements

• A graduate or postgraduate degree in management, social work, development studies or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in programme or operations management.
• Experience in education, skilling or livelihoods is preferred.
• Fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi.
• Comfortable working with government offices.
• Strong skills in managing projects across many sites at once.
• Good with MIS, dashboards and advanced MS Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience building relationships with government and other partners.
• Able to lead teams and build the skills of field staff.
• Uses data to make decisions and stays focused on results.
• Willing to travel often across Gujarat.
• Able to work on-site in Gandhinagar.
