TNS India Foundation is a non-profit development organisation with over 13 years of work in youth employability and women's empowerment. It runs programmes that are practical and built around what employers actually look for, so young people can move from college into steady work. By connecting capable young people to real opportunities, the organisation has changed the lives of individuals, their families and their communities. Its work reaches students in Tier 3 and Tier 4 colleges who rarely get campus placement support. This role sits within TNSIF's youth employability programme team, which trains, counsels and places students from partner colleges.

Role

As a Program Specialist - Training, you will be the person students see in the classroom and turn to for guidance. You will run structured soft skills and employability sessions, mentor students one on one, and prepare them for interviews and placements. The work involves travelling to partner colleges, keeping students engaged through the full programme, and working with parents and college staff so students stay the course.

Responsibilities

• Deliver soft skills and employability training to students using the program curriculum (offline and online)
• Travel to partner colleges to conduct training sessions and student engagement activities
• Mobilize and engage students from Tier 3 and Tier 4 colleges for the youth employability program
• Assess and screen students through interviews to determine program fit
• Train students on 21st-century employability skills, including communication, interview preparation, group discussions, resume/CV writing, and workplace readiness
• Conduct pre-placement activities and prepare students for corporate opportunities
• Provide one-on-one counselling and mentorship for transitioning into formal sector jobs
• Engage with parents and college administrators to ensure strong program participation
• Maintain student data, training reports, and program trackers
• Document success stories, case studies, and program updates

Requirements

• Freshers and experienced candidates welcome to apply
• Prior experience in student engagement, training, volunteering, or internships preferred
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills
• Strong public speaking and training abilities
• Comfortable travelling regularly to colleges for conducting training programs
• Ability to work with diverse student groups
