Role

Atithi Foundation is hiring a Programme Associate in New Delhi. This full-time role supports destination strategy, policy research, programme management and stakeholder engagement across multiple tourism development initiatives. You will work closely with government departments, private sector partners and senior leadership while contributing to research, project implementation and strategic initiatives across different states. The role involves regular travel to project locations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on tourism, destination development, public policy and international best practices.
  • Prepare strategy notes, briefing papers, presentations and analytical reports.
  • Support financial analysis and project modelling for destination initiatives.
  • Assist with government engagement by preparing meeting briefs, documentation and follow-up trackers.
  • Coordinate with state governments, tourism departments and development authorities.
  • Track project milestones and maintain programme dashboards.
  • Support implementation across multiple destination development projects.
  • Develop templates, playbooks and internal programme documentation.
  • Prepare investor outreach materials, destination briefs and information memoranda.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings, site visits and partner events.
  • Contribute to policy notes, sector reports and thought leadership publications.
  • Track policy developments relevant to tourism, infrastructure and heritage.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of professional experience in any sector.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Interest in public policy, economic development or the social sector.
  • Experience in data analysis or financial modelling is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel across project states.
