Role

SwitchON Foundation is looking for a motivated and field-oriented Project Coordinator to support the implementation of Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) initiatives in the Churchu cluster of Hazaribagh. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Project Manager to mobilize farmers, coordinate field activities, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and ensure effective implementation of project interventions at the grassroots level.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning and implementing Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) activities across the Churchu cluster
• Conduct regular field visits and engage with farmers, village institutions, and community members
• Mobilize farmers for project participation, capacity-building initiatives, and awareness programs
• Organize farmer meetings, training sessions, demonstrations, and community outreach activities
• Coordinate with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), government departments, Panchayats, and other local stakeholders
• Facilitate the distribution of seeds, agricultural inputs, and other project materials
• Monitor field activities, identify challenges, and report them to the Project Manager with recommendations
• Collect field data and maintain accurate records of farmer participation, trainings, and demonstrations
• Prepare field reports, progress updates, and document success stories, photographs, and case studies
• Support awareness campaigns promoting climate-smart and regenerative agriculture practices

Requirements

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Work, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
• 0-3 years of experience in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Work, or Community Development
• Strong interpersonal and community engagement skills
• Good coordination, communication, and organizational abilities
• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office and digital reporting tools
• Proficiency in Hindi mandatory; working knowledge of English required
• Must own and be able to use a bike or scooty for regular field travel
• Willingness to work extensively in rural areas within Churchu Block and nearby project areas
