Role

Central Square Foundation is hiring a Project Lead – Finance in New Delhi. This full-time leadership role supports the Head of Finance in overseeing financial planning, budgeting, compliance, audit, donor management and financial operations across the organisation. You will work closely with programme teams, leadership, donors, vendors and external partners to strengthen financial systems, improve operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, financial forecasting and fiscal planning.
• Monitor budget utilisation and prepare budget versus actual variance reports.
• Strengthen procurement processes and vendor management systems.
• Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and consultants.
• Conduct due diligence and reviews of partners and vendors.
• Lead statutory, donor and internal compliance processes.
• Coordinate statutory and donor audits and ensure timely compliance.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable, receivables, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Maintain accounting records in line with accounting standards and donor requirements.
• Develop and update finance policies, procedures and manuals.
• Support donor reporting, proposal budgeting and financial documentation.
• Establish and maintain a centralised contract management system.
• Provide financial guidance to programme teams and organisational leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 8–10 yr of accounting and finance experience with team leadership responsibilities.
• Strong financial planning, budgeting and reporting experience.
• Experience managing audits, statutory compliance and donor reporting.
• Knowledge of FCRA, GST, Income Tax, Provident Fund, NPS and other statutory regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience managing vendors, consultants and procurement processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
