SELCO Foundation is a Bengaluru-based nonprofit that uses clean, sustainable energy to improve the lives of people in underserved communities. It works with local partners to bring solar power and other energy solutions into homes, health centres, schools and small businesses. The aim is to link energy to the things people need most: health, income and education. Its work is guided by careful research and learning from the field. This role sits within SELCO Foundation's Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) team, which tracks how programmes are doing and turns that evidence into lessons the whole organisation can use.

Role

As Project Manager for MEL, you will take the findings from evaluations, monitoring and research and turn them into clear reports, briefs and stories that programme teams, leaders, funders and partners can act on. You will work closely with statisticians, programme teams and outside research partners. You will also help write funding proposals, share evidence widely and manage evaluation studies. You will report to the Senior Research Manager.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize findings from M&E systems, research studies, and evaluations into actionable program insights, reports, case studies, and evidence notes.
• Facilitate reflection sessions with program teams to document institutional learning and continuously improve interventions.
• Lead the M&E components of funding proposals, creating practical results frameworks, indicators, evaluation plans, and budgets.
• Manage the reporting calendar to produce timely donor, impact, annual, and management reports backed by verified data.
• Coordinate external research agencies and consultants, reviewing evaluation designs, tools, data collection processes, and final deliverables.
• Draft technical papers, policy briefs, and research articles for publication while collaborating with Communications to share evidence across digital platforms.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in M&E, learning, research, or evidence generation within the social development sector.
• Demonstrated success in donor/impact report writing, proposal development, mixed-methods research, and theory of change frameworks.
• Strong project management, stakeholder coordination, and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear narratives.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Power BI dashboards and digital data collection software is an advantage.
