The quality of school education available to children from low income communities across India is often very poor, which makes it much harder for them to go to college or build a career. iTeach was started in 2015 to change this and create a level playing field for all children. It runs free, high impact schools and a college-to-career program for the most disadvantaged students in Pune and Navi Mumbai, known for strong professional development, a results focused team culture, and student centred school design.

Role

A Recruitment Associate who drives sourcing and selection for iTeach's schools and programs, building a strong pipeline of people to support the organisation's work with students in Pune and Navi Mumbai.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end sourcing and initial selection for assigned roles, building a strong and diverse candidate pipeline
• Screen CVs and conduct phone, video and walk-in interviews to assess candidates against role requirements and organisational values
• Use multiple sourcing channels and recruitment portals to find and attract strong candidates, and keep trying new and creative ways to reach candidates for hard to fill roles
• Keep candidates engaged and the pipeline moving throughout the selection process
• Coordinate with school admin staff and principals on interview logistics, making sure the process is smooth and timely for candidates and selectors
• Work with selectors to keep interviews well planned, structured and on schedule
• Maintain accurate recruitment data across the hiring funnel, and use that data to improve hiring decisions
• Lead and support projects that improve sourcing, selection, candidate experience and overall recruitment effectiveness
• Track recruitment metrics like pipeline health, conversion rates, time to hire, offer acceptance and attrition, and spot areas to improve
• Bring new ideas and test fresh approaches to keep improving how the organisation attracts and selects people

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree with a strong academic record.
• 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Pune.
• Comfort screening CVs and talking with candidates by phone, video and in person.
• Familiarity with job portals and other ways of finding candidates.
• Ability to keep accurate records and use data to make decisions.
• Strong planning and coordination skills to manage many interviews at once.
• Willingness to test new ideas and learn from what works.
