iTeach Schools was started in 2015 to change how school education works for children from low-income communities in India. Students from these communities have far lower chances of finishing college or building a career than their better-off peers, and iTeach exists to close that gap. The organisation runs free, high-impact schools and a college-to-career programme for students in Pune and Navi Mumbai. This role sits within iTeach's People Operations team, which finds, hires and brings in the people who make those schools and programmes work.

Role

The Recruitment Associate builds momentum around the secondary education movement and uses that momentum to bring the best people into iTeach. The organisation's founding belief is "first who, then what", which means it places its bets on its people, and this role carries a large share of that. You will own a recruitment portfolio end to end, from spotting talent pools and running outreach with colleges to managing interviews and staying with candidates until they accept their offer.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with team leaders to identify and predict hiring needs across the organisation.
• Record and analyse data from every stage of the recruitment and selection process.
• Conduct field research to understand what the target candidate audience wants and needs.
• Create job descriptions and give inputs into how roles are designed.
• Manage a recruitment portfolio covering fresh graduates, lateral hires and internships.
• Identify talent pools, build relationships with them and manage their application process.
• Manage the organisation's presence on online job portals.
• Screen and shortlist candidates coming through those portals.
• Build and hold relationships with colleges and other institutions for recruitment and outreach.
• Work with the Communications team to run outreach and branding plans.
• Own and keep improving the logistics of the interview process.
• Coordinate with the HR and Finance teams so that offer letters go out on time, and stay in touch with candidates from offer roll-out until acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance.
• One year of relevant work experience is preferred, and freshers with a strong record are welcome to apply.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Comfort speaking with candidates, college teams and institutional partners.
• Ability to keep track of many candidates and stages at once without letting things slip.
• Comfort working with recruitment data and drawing simple conclusions from it.
• Willingness to do field research and travel to colleges and institutions.
• Ability to work closely with other teams, including Communications, HR and Finance.
• Based in or willing to be based in Pune.
