Pratham International is a US-based nonprofit working to help children learn well and prepare youth for the world of work, across countries beyond India. Pratham International takes proven, evidence-based programs developed by Pratham Education Foundation, like Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) and the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER), and adapts them to fit different country contexts around the world.

Role

Pratham International is looking for a Senior Associate to help design, adapt, and deliver its education programs, like TaRL, across countries. This role blends program delivery, partnerships, and knowledge sharing, working with everyone from grassroots teams to government officials. You will own specific country projects independently while supporting the wider team, solving problems in real time across fast-moving, multi-stakeholder settings.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and adaptation of education programs like TaRL across different countries
• Build implementation plans, timelines, budgets, and program materials
• Track progress, flag challenges early, and help solve problems as they come up
• Document learnings and share knowledge across country teams
• Manage day-to-day relationships with in-country partners and stakeholders
• Work with NGOs, government partners, and other stakeholders to support programs
• Help onboard new partners and align on goals, roles, and expectations
• Hold partners accountable for deliverables and timelines
• Coordinate across internal teams to keep projects moving
• Organise and run trainings, workshops, and review meetings
• Maintain clear documentation of program processes and outputs
• Support donor visits, grant proposals, concept notes, and budgets
• Help prepare donor reports and presentations
• Research funding opportunities and support pipeline building

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Education, International Development, Public Policy, or a related field
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in education or development programs
• Experience independently managing projects or workstreams
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including partners or government systems
• Strong writing and analytical skills, especially for proposals and reports
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across different countries
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with government stakeholders or large-scale education programs is a plus
• Familiarity with foundational learning approaches like TaRL is a plus
• Experience with grant proposals or international, cross-cultural work is a plus
• French or Spanish language skills are a plus
• Willingness to travel as required, including internationally
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and solving problems independently
• Location: Based remotely in Delhi and Mumbai with periodic travels (Preferred to be in Delhi)
• Reporting to: Associate Director, Programs and Partnerships
