ShikshaLokam is a nonprofit that helps people and institutions in India's school system grow as education leaders. It builds open-source technology and shares resources with individuals, NGOs and government bodies, so that leadership development can reach a very large number of schools and make a real difference. Its work follows Societal Platform thinking, a way of solving big social problems quickly, at scale and in a way that lasts. This role sits within ShikshaLokam's School Education Leadership societal platform, which supports leadership development across school education at large scale.

Role

As Senior Lead for Product Development, you will shape how the School Education Leadership platform grows. You will work with an in-house team and with partners such as NGOs and government agencies, bring real use cases from the field into the product, and help partners understand and share what the platform is for. The role brings together product planning, hands-on quality checks and fast prototyping with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy, roadmap and feature plans for the platform.
• Work with NGOs, government partners and end users to understand their needs and turn them into clear use cases.
• Suggest improvements that make the platform easier and better to use.
• Prioritise new features and set clear timelines for building them.
• Coordinate with the engineering team to deliver working solutions.
• Check the quality of the platform and make sure features work as expected.
• Track and report how users respond after each new release.
• Create support and training documents for the team and for outside partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing the full product lifecycle, ideally including product work in a project or programme management setting.
• A technical background, ideally combined with a degree in business administration or marketing.
• At least 1 year of using AI tools to build proofs of concept and quick prototypes, with deep familiarity with tools like Claude Code, Gemini CLI, AI Studio or Vercel.
• Working knowledge of project management tools such as Jira.
• Ability to work with many kinds of teams, including NGOs, government agencies, subject experts, engineers and end users.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of education or education leadership is a plus but not required.
• Based in Bengaluru or willing to move there.
