Role

The Senior Manager, Student Alumni Wing will lead the strategy and development of Teach For India's student alumni ecosystem. The role focuses on building systems, partnerships, transition support, and peer networks that help first-generation learners successfully move from school to higher education and meaningful careers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the long-term strategy for the Student Alumni Wing.
  • Build systems that support students during key education and career transitions.
  • Develop scalable transition pathways for higher education and employment.
  • Build and manage partnerships with organisations, institutions, and experts.
  • Create student and alumni communities that foster mentorship and peer learning.
  • Strengthen alumni engagement through digital platforms and networking opportunities.
  • Lead and coach team members across readiness, partnerships, and transition support.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to integrate student alumni initiatives.
  • Monitor programme performance and continuously improve systems.
  • Represent Teach For India in internal and external forums.
  • Support organisational priorities including fundraising, recruitment, volunteering, and movement building.

Requirements

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in education, youth development, programme management, talent pathways or social impact.
  • Experience leading teams and managing multiple programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills.
  • Experience designing scalable systems or programmes.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience building partnerships and ecosystem initiatives.
  • Understanding of challenges faced by first-generation learners.
  • Experience in business development, fundraising, talent acquisition, or external partnerships.
  • Background in programme design and systems thinking.
