UPHOLD

UPHOLD is setting up a new Skill Development Centre in Paderu, Andhra Pradesh, to close the gap between what employers need and the skills local job seekers have. The centre's aim is simple: find out which jobs are really out there, train people for them, and help them get hired. It will work closely with industries, corporates, hotels and local businesses so that each training course leads to real jobs. This role sits within UPHOLD's Skill Development Centre in Paderu, which links local candidates with training and jobs shaped by what employers need.

Role

As Centre Coordinator, you will run the new centre and be its main link to employers. You will meet industries, corporates, hotels and businesses to learn what workers they need, turn those needs into training, and help trained candidates get hired. This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident approaching employers, can build lasting partnerships, and wants to see training lead to real jobs for local people.

Responsibilities

  • Research local job markets, new job openings, industry trends and the skills employers are looking for.
  • Build and grow partnerships with industries, hotels, corporates, HR teams, recruitment agencies and other employers.
  • Visit and meet employers regularly to understand their hiring needs, skill gaps and expectations.
  • Identify training needs with industry leaders, covering communication, soft skills, workplace readiness, business and HR skills, life skills and job-specific skills.
  • Design and coordinate training programmes that match what employers actually need.
  • Mobilise suitable candidates and connect them with the right training.
  • Set up placement links, arrange interviews, support hiring and track job outcomes for trained candidates.
  • Manage the centre's work on your own, including partnerships, training, reporting and performance targets.

Requirements

  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in business administration, HR, management, social work, communications or a related field.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and a good working knowledge of Hindi.
  • Knowledge of market research, business development, employer networking, candidate mobilisation or placement coordination.
  • Experience in skill development, vocational training, recruitment, HR, corporate relations, placement services or industry partnerships is preferred.
  • Confidence in approaching employers, with strong negotiation, presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, solve problems and deliver measurable results.
  • Based in or willing to move to Paderu, and willing to travel locally to meet industries, companies, hotels and other employers.

Benefits

  • Pay that matches your qualifications and experience.
  • The chance to lead a new centre from the start and shape how it grows.
  • Clear, visible impact as you help local job seekers move into steady work.
  • A strong professional network built through regular contact with employers across industries, hotels and businesses.
