Speech Therapist in Uttar Pradesh | The Hans Foundation
The Hans Foundation
The Hans Foundation is a public charitable trust set up in 2009 that works to build a fairer society and improve the quality of life of people who have been left out. It focuses on health and wellbeing in remote and under-served areas, with special attention to children, persons with disabilities and women, and also runs education and livelihood programmes. THF works in aspirational districts and high poverty areas across north, north-east and east India, and with low-income and migrant families in cities. In fifteen years it has reached more than 35 million people, both by running projects directly and by supporting other not-for-profit organisations in India. This role sits within THF's Mobile Community Outreach Rehabilitation project for persons with disabilities, run with the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, which takes early intervention and rehabilitation services to communities by bus and van.
