The/Nudge Institute is an action institute working to build resilient livelihoods and alleviate poverty across India. The team works with women, farmers, tribal communities, and youth in rural development, agriculture, skilling, and economic inclusion, in partnership with more than 15 central and state governments. Their work currently reaches over 15 lakh people across 10 states. Through an incubator, accelerator, and grand challenges, The/Nudge has supported over 200 social entrepreneurs. The organisation was founded with support from 130 philanthropists, 40 corporates, and 15 foundations, all working toward a poverty-free India.
Role
Support The/Nudge's startup ecosystem work by researching, evaluating, and tracking startups across agriculture and MSME sectors. This role combines research, startup evaluation, and strategic execution, including contributions to outreach, go-to-market strategy, and community-building initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Identify and build a structured pipeline of startups across agriculture and MSME sectors
- Analyse sector trends, government policies, and market opportunities and develop concise sector briefs and opportunity maps
- Evaluate startups on business model, market potential, and scalability and prepare structured summaries for internal review
- Source and track insights from platforms such as Crunchbase, Tracxn, and LinkedIn
- Support outreach and go-to-market strategy, including founder outreach and partnership mapping
- Contribute to startup engagement, ecosystem mapping, and programme support Help build a strong startup and ecosystem community
Requirements
- 0 to 2 years of experience; currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Agriculture, Public Policy, or a related field
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to turn information into clear insights
- Interest in startups, venture ecosystems, or innovation landscapes
- High attention to detail, well-organised, and comfortable working with ambiguity
- Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks
