The Apprentice Project
In India, 100 million children from low-income communities grow up without the skills they need for modern life, such as handling their emotions, using technology and managing money. This gap can hold them back for life and keep families stuck in poverty. The Apprentice Project works to change this in government schools. It has built an AI-powered learning buddy that helps thousands of students learn these skills on their own, while growing their confidence, creativity and curiosity. This role sits within The Apprentice Project's Curriculum Team, which sets the quality standard for the lessons students learn.
Role
As a Financial Literacy Video Consultant, you will make short videos that teach school students about money in a way that feels simple, real and even fun for a 12-year-old. You will turn learning goals into clear scripts, bring them to life with AI tools and basic editing, and keep improving your work with feedback from the Curriculum Team Lead. This is a part-time, remote consultancy. You do not need to be a finance expert, but you do need to be curious, careful with details and excited to make content that children connect with.
Responsibilities
- Create 3 to 4 minute self-learning videos on financial literacy for school students.
- Turn learning outcomes into simple, engaging lessons that children can follow on their own.
- Research money concepts using reliable sources and turn them into short, child-friendly scripts.
- Use AI tools to create visuals, voiceovers and videos, and keep track of new and better tools.
- Edit and produce videos using tools such as Canva, CapCut or PowerPoint.
- Deliver videos on time, at the right length and to the quality standard set by the Curriculum Team.
- Improve content quickly based on feedback from the Curriculum Team.
- Suggest smarter, faster ways of working and share new tools with the team.
Requirements
- Ability to explain ideas simply and write short, conversational scripts from a child's point of view.
- Basic video editing skills and comfort using or learning tools such as Canva, CapCut, Clipchamp, ChatGPT, Gemini, Gamma, PowerPoint, G-Suite and MS Office.
- Willingness to try new AI tools and figure them out on your own.
- Basic knowledge of financial literacy, or a real willingness to build it.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi.
- Good research skills and a strong eye for detail in content accuracy and visual clarity.
- Completion of a pre-work assignment as part of the application.
Benefits
- Have real creative input into how ideas are brought to life, not just following a brief.
- Work remotely on your own schedule, with clear deliverables.
- Learn all the time through new AI tools, content design and curriculum thinking.
- Take on extra hourly research and content work beyond the core scope.
- Compensation follows the structure for this role, with details shared during the selection process.
