It runs programmes in education, livelihoods, health and entrepreneurship, working with young people and low-income communities across several states in India. Much of that work depends on volunteers and on companies that partner with Nirmaan through their CSR programmes. The organisation brings these groups together so that people who want to give time and skills can be matched with communities that need them. This role sits within Nirmaan's Volunteering Department, which runs the volunteer programmes and holds the relationships with the volunteers and partners behind them.

Role

Nirmaan is looking for a Volunteering Executive to run its volunteer engagement work from the head office in Hyderabad. You will plan and coordinate volunteering programmes and events, keep volunteers and partner organisations well informed and supported, and track how each programme is going. The work suits someone who enjoys being the point of contact for many different people at once and can hold the details together while a programme is running.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteering programmes from planning through to completion.
• Organise volunteer events and engagement activities.
• Manage day to day communication with volunteers.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners and other stakeholders.
• Match volunteers to programmes and roles that fit their skills and availability.
• Support volunteers through their engagement so they stay involved.
• Monitor programme activities as they run and follow up on what needs attention.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records.
• Prepare reports on volunteering activity and share them with the team and partners.
• Work with programme teams so volunteering supports Nirmaan's wider goals.
• Support CSR engagement activities with partner companies.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in CSR, volunteering, NGO programme management, event management, community development or corporate engagement.
• Experience managing several stakeholders at the same time is preferred.
• Experience in volunteer management.
• Experience in stakeholder management.
• Understanding of how corporate social responsibility programmes work.
• Ability to coordinate events from planning to follow up.
• Experience in community engagement.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Ability to keep clear records and prepare reports.
• Ability to manage several activities at once and stay organised.
• Comfortable working with people from different backgrounds, from corporate teams to community members.
• Based in Hyderabad or willing to move there, as the role is at Nirmaan HQ.
