ETASHA Society is a not for profit organization that runs vocational training and placement programs to help young people find steady jobs and build a better future. The organization focuses on training youth from low-income communities in the skills they need to succeed in the workplace.

Role

The Youth Employment Facilitator will train young people in employability skills and support them through the entire journey to getting a job. This includes teaching, mentoring, and connecting trainees with the right job opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Teach employability skills including spoken English, interpersonal skills, and basic computer and internet use
• Understand trainees' backgrounds by regularly connecting with them and their families
• Prepare trainees for job interviews and match them with suitable openings
• Build relationships with recruiters to understand hiring needs and market trends
• Mentor trainees as they grow into their first jobs
• Track and report on class progress and individual trainee outcomes
• Create engaging lesson plans within the given training framework

Requirements

• Genuine empathy and interest in working with young people from low-income communities
• Passion for training and teaching
• Comfortable using participatory and interactive teaching methods
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office
• Self-motivated with a drive to keep improving
• Understanding of what entry-level jobs in the organized sector require
• Interest in following changes in the job market and economy
