Role
The Pranava Institute is looking for a curious, motivated Research Analyst to join their interdisciplinary team. You will research and write on key technology policy issues, track industry developments, and contribute to meaningful outputs that reach policymakers, practitioners, and communities.
Responsibilities
- Research emerging technology topics including AI, semiconductors, fintech, platform governance, and telecom in the Indian policy context
- Track and analyse market and policy developments and produce clear, client-facing insights
- Write reports, policy briefs, white papers, toolkits, and other creative research outputs on critical tech policy issues
- Plan and coordinate workshops and events that bring academics and practitioners together to create shared knowledge
- Represent the Institute at conferences, meetings, and relevant public events
- Collaborate with fellow researchers on cross-disciplinary projects and uphold high-quality research standards
Requirements
- Master's degree (preferred) in Political Science, Public Policy, Computer Science, Law, or a related social science field
- 0–2 years of experience in public policy research, with a focus on technology policy preferred
- Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of public policy systems, institutions, and stakeholders in India
- Excellent research and writing skills, with experience producing reports, policy briefs, blogs, or research papers
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment
- Comfort with networking and building connections across disciplines to grow research projects
- Familiarity with qualitative research methods and participatory approaches, especially with youth communities, is a plus
- Some background in foreign policy, international relations, or emerging technology policy is an added advantage
