About
The Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) is an independent, not-for-profit policy research institution based in India. Its work looks at how the country uses, reuses and misuses natural resources. Its research covers energy, climate, clean air, water and the circular economy. CEEW calls itself integrated, international and independent. It says it uses data, integrated analysis and strategic outreach to explain how resources are used and to change it. Its outputs include peer-reviewed studies, national surveys, modelling, data platforms and public communication aimed at policymakers, industry and citizens.
Headquarters: New Delhi, Delhi, India

CEEW suits people who want to do rigorous, evidence-based policy work on energy, climate and resources in India. Teams combine data analysis, modelling, surveys and field research with outreach to government, industry and the public. That gives staff direct exposure to how research shapes national policy and international climate negotiations. Topics range from household cooking fuels to energy finance and climate risk, so there is room to build deep expertise in one area while working alongside specialists in others. It is a good fit for researchers, analysts, economists, engineers and communicators who are comfortable with quantitative work and public-facing outputs.
