Khushi Baby

Khushi Baby is a public health organization working inside government health systems in Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. It began in 2014 as a Yale engineering project addressing immunisation gaps for families at the last mile, and has since grown into a 175 member multidisciplinary team of technologists, data scientists, and public health specialists. The organization builds data platforms, analytics, and embedded teams that help government health systems close the gap between data collection and coordinated care.

• Digital Public Health: Building data platforms and digital tools that connect frontline health workers, officials, and communities within government health systems.
• Health Systems Strengthening: Embedding teams and infrastructure inside state health departments to close the gap between data collection and actual care delivery.
• Maternal and Child Health: Focusing on immunisation, anemia screening, and referral follow up to reduce preventable health gaps for mothers and infants at the last mile.
• Health Data and AI: Developing AI tools like MAHILA, SanketAI, and Sangam AI to turn field data into faster insights and follow up action for vulnerable populations.

• CHIP (Community Health Information Platform), India's second largest digital health platform for community health management, used by over 85,000 community health workers
• Health Action Centers, embedded teams that convert health data into coordinated action across government systems
• MAHILA, an AI tool that screens for anemia using a smartphone photo of the inner eyelid
• SanketAI, a tool that lets health officials query public health data in plain language
• Sangam AI, an AI powered call center that prioritizes and places follow up calls for public health cases
• e-Aarogya Dhamni, a tribal health ecosystem built with Zilla Parishad Nandurbar, recognized with the National e-Governance Award 2026 (Gold)

Impact

Khushi Baby's platforms support over 85,000 community health workers and hold longitudinal health records for more than 60 million people across three states. The organization has logged 250,000 hours in the field with health workers and helped unlock 20 million dollars in government co-financing. It was selected as one of 18 locally led organizations in ICONIQ Impact's 100 million dollar Child Survival Portfolio in 2026, and is working toward a 2030 goal of closing one million care loops.

The team is field first, working closely with frontline health workers and district officials rather than building in isolation. It has drawn recognition from national and global bodies including the Government of India, ICONIQ Impact, and the London School of Economics accelerator, and offers a path to work at the intersection of public health, data science, and applied AI.
