Role

The Community Engagement Officer will lead how users adopt and engage with the NURTURE platform across Maharashtra, working closely with government stakeholders like ICDS Supervisors, CDPOs, and Nodal Officers. This person will connect field teams, government partners, and the tech team, using data and ground feedback to fix problems and improve the platform. The role is based in Mantralaya, Mumbai, with regular field travel, and includes leading a small team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and update a community engagement plan for different stakeholder groups, districts, and blocks.
  • Track how well users are adopting NURTURE, figure out if the gaps are due to training, communication, technology, or other reasons, and design fixes.
  • Build relationships with government stakeholders at the state, district, and block level, and lead orientations, reviews, and meetings with them.
  • Plan and run training sessions, and create simple materials like guides, videos, and presentations to support learning.
  • Set up a system to track user complaints and issues, and work with the programme and tech teams to solve them on time.
  • Act as the main link between users and the tech team, turning field feedback into clear product suggestions and helping test new features.
  • Collect and study user feedback from calls, field visits, and surveys, and turn it into practical recommendations.
  • Keep clear records of plans, training calendars, feedback, and issues, and prepare regular reports for programme reviews.
  • Plan the team's weekly and monthly work, guide junior team members, and check the quality of their work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Social Work, Development Studies, Rural Development, Communications, Health Management, or a related field.
  • 4 or more years of experience in programme management, community engagement, public health, digital health, or a related area.
  • Experience working with government programmes or public sector stakeholders is preferred.
  • Experience managing a team or coordinating field activities is an advantage.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and decision making skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Marathi. Hindi is an advantage.
  • Good at building relationships with different stakeholders, including government officials.
  • Able to turn data and field feedback into clear, useful recommendations.
  • Strong documentation, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable using Excel, Google Sheets, Google Workspace, and presentation tools.
  • Good coordination, problem solving, and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable working across government, programme, and tech teams.
