Khushi Baby works at the intersection of public health, technology, and community engagement, supporting government health and nutrition programmes through digital tools and strong on-ground coordination with frontline workers and functionaries.

Role

The Community Engagement Associate will support day to day communication and user support for the NURTURE programme, working closely with NRC staff, ICDS functionaries, public health staff, and other stakeholders. The role covers grievance handling, training coordination, digital communication, and programme documentation, and is a good fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, tracking details, and working closely with people.

Responsibilities

• Support communication with NURTURE users, including NRC staff, ICDS functionaries, and public health functionaries, responding to queries and providing basic guidance.
• Receive, document, and track user grievances and technical issues, escalating unresolved cases to the right team until closed.
• Monitor NURTURE WhatsApp groups and other channels, sharing programme updates, reminders, and training information with users.
• Track common questions and communication needs and share them with the Community Engagement Manager.
• Support the planning and running of training and orientation sessions, including scheduling, attendance, and logistics.
• Assist during training sessions and handholding support, and document participant feedback.
• Help create simple communication materials such as FAQs, user guides, and WhatsApp messages, including translation into Marathi where needed.
• Support the Programme team in meetings, stakeholder coordination, and preparing presentations and trackers.
• Follow up with stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Maintain accurate and updated programme documentation and trackers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Development Studies, Rural Development, Communications, Health Management, or a related field.
• 2 or more years of experience in community engagement, programme implementation, public health, digital health, customer support, field coordination, or communication roles. Fresh graduates with strong interest in public health and social impact may also be considered.
• Experience working with government programmes, healthcare institutions, NRCs, ICDS, or frontline workers is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Marathi and English. Hindi is an advantage.
• Good interpersonal, coordination, and follow-up skills, and comfort communicating with government officials, healthcare staff, and frontline workers.
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Google Workspace, and presentation tools.
• Comfortable using WhatsApp and other digital communication platforms, and able to learn new digital tools quickly.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Familiarity with JIRA or other issue tracking systems is an advantage.
