SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action)

SNEHA is a Mumbai-based non-profit working to improve the health, nutrition, and safety of women and children in urban informal settlements. The team empowers women and families to become agents of change while also partnering with public health and safety systems to bring lasting improvements. Key programs cover maternal and child health, adolescent empowerment, prevention of violence against women and children, public system partnerships, and palliative care. Between 2016 and 2025, SNEHA directly reached over 620,000 women, children, and healthcare workers, with indirect impact on more than 3.63 million people across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Role

Support the Finance Officer and Coordinator with budget monitoring, voucher data entry, reconciliation of program advances, and overall financial record keeping for SNEHA's programs.

Responsibilities

Check all vouchers for complete documentation and enter them in Tally and the payment tracker.
Support settlement of staff advances and reconciliation of vendor accounts bill by bill.
Maintain monthly records of all vouchers and finance documents.
Help the Finance Coordinator collate documents for funder audits.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors on finance-related queries.

Requirements

HSC pass or pursuing a Commerce degree.
Fresher or up to 1 year of experience with a commerce background.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Good record management and documentation skills.
Ability to follow financial processes and compliance requirements.
Effective communication and coordination with internal teams and vendors.
Strong time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks within deadlines.
Integrity, reliability, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Problem-solving mindset with strong reconciliation skills.
Comfortable working under supervision while staying proactive.
