Public Health Foundation of India
The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) works to build a healthier India. It helps the country build the people and systems that public health needs by running education and training, carrying out research, and supporting better health policy and practice. PHFI was set up in 2006 as a partnership between government and the private sector. It is headquartered in New Delhi and works across India through its regional Indian Institutes of Public Health and its research centres. An independent board of senior government officials, academics, civil society leaders and business leaders guides its work.
Role
This role keeps PHFI's Oracle E-Business Suite running smoothly and helps it change as the organisation's needs change. You will look after the finance, projects, HR, payroll and timesheet modules, solve problems for staff, build reports and custom features, and play a key part in the move to Oracle EBS R12.2. Your work helps make sure that staff are paid correctly, payments go out on time and records stay accurate for teams working on public health across India.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day techno-functional support for Oracle EBS R12/R12.2.x, solve production issues quickly, and manage incidents and service requests in ServiceNow and Jira.
- Support Oracle Financials (AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, SLA) and Oracle Projects, including procure-to-pay, supplier invoices, payment runs, and month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
- Manage HRMS, Payroll and OTL processes, including payroll runs, costing, reconciliations, statutory compliance, Fast Formula, employee lifecycle changes and timecard approval rules.
- Gather business needs, write functional and technical design documents, and then design, build, test and deploy customisations and RICEFW / CEMLI components.
- Develop SQL and PL/SQL packages, BI Publisher and Oracle Reports, Forms, concurrent programs, workflows and WebADI tools, and tune queries and the database for better performance.
- Connect Oracle EBS with other applications using APIs, REST APIs and open interfaces.
- Carry out end-to-end testing for upgrades and releases, including SIT, UAT, pre- and post-upgrade checks, cloning, patching, environment refreshes and database upgrades.
- Keep clear documentation, SOPs and knowledge-base articles, train users, coordinate change and release management, and follow audit and security standards.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, with an Oracle certification preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of experience, including Oracle EBS R12.2.x upgrade projects and an Oracle Database upgrade to 19c.
- Hands-on experience with HRMS and Payroll implementations, Oracle Projects (PA), and OTL integration with Payroll and Projects.
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle Financials (AP, AR, GL, FA, SLA), Oracle HRMS, Oracle Payroll and Oracle Time & Labor.
- Skill in SQL, PL/SQL, BI Publisher, Oracle Workflow, WebADI, Oracle Forms and Reports, and SQL Loader.
- Experience in production support and release management using Jira and ServiceNow.
- Experience with NGOs or development sector organisations, good communication skills and a strong academic record.
- Candidates working in government, semi-government or educational institutions in India must apply through the proper channel.
Benefits
- Pay that matches your skills and how well you fit the role.
- A chance to use your Oracle skills to support an organisation working towards a healthier India.
- Hands-on work on a major Oracle EBS R12.2 upgrade and ongoing system improvements.
- An inclusive workplace that encourages women to apply.
