RightWalk Foundation is a public policy implementation and state capacity-building organisation working to address the root causes of poverty and inequality by activating transformative social policies from inception to last-mile delivery. Working with system leaders, lawmakers, and communities, RightWalk designs and drives scalable solutions that bridge the opportunity gap for marginalised populations. Its work has unlocked the RTE 12.1(c) provision in Uttar Pradesh, enabling over 11 lakh children from economically weaker sections to access quality education across 28,000 schools, and has connected over 4 lakh youth with skilling and employment opportunities through apprenticeship policies across multiple states.
Role
You will play a senior leadership role in shaping and driving RightWalk's resource mobilisation strategy. Reporting directly to Executive Leadership, you will build and expand high-value relationships with foundations, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals, strengthen the long-term fundraising pipeline, and ensure RightWalk has the sustained resources to deliver impact at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with RightWalk's goals, including exploring blended finance, CSR, and multi-donor funding models
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of donors across foundations, corporations, HNIs, and international agencies through prospect research and disciplined follow-through
- Represent RightWalk in external fundraising conversations and close large-scale partnerships with donors and CSR heads
- Maintain and deepen relationships with existing donors through regular impact updates, stewardship, and co-created opportunities
- Oversee high-quality proposals, donor reports, and communication materials, ensuring timely compliance with donor requirements
- Strengthen donor CRM and knowledge management systems for better tracking and accountability
- Work with programme and policy teams to shape fundable initiatives and keep donor priorities grounded in field realities
- Mentor the fundraising team and represent RightWalk at external forums on social policy and fundraising
- Report regularly to Executive Leadership and the Board on fundraising performance and risks
Requirements
- 10 or more years of fundraising experience, including 5 to 7 years in the development sector
- Full-time Master's degree in Social Sciences, Management, or Social Work; premier B-School preferred
- Strong knowledge of the social sector landscape, fundraising best practices, and donor ecosystems
- Excellent proposal writing, donor communication, and pitching skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with willingness to travel for donor engagements
- Proficient in MS Office, Canva, and Salesforce for Nonprofits or an equivalent CRM
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to balance strategy with hands-on execution
- Attention to detail and a good eye for design in donor communications
