Role
The Antara Foundation is hiring an Associate – Monitoring & Evaluation based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This full-time role will support the organisation's Odisha programme by strengthening monitoring systems, ensuring data quality and generating evidence to improve maternal and child health interventions. The position works closely with programme teams, government stakeholders and the central M&E team to enable data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement monitoring systems, frameworks and tools aligned with programme goals.
- Develop systems for collecting, analysing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data.
- Conduct data quality assessments and ensure accurate data management.
- Work closely with programme teams to integrate monitoring into field implementation.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, presentations and policy briefs for internal teams, donors and government partners.
- Build the capacity of field teams on monitoring tools and data systems.
- Prepare timely donor and programme reports.
- Present programme insights to government officials, donors and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external partners on data and evidence initiatives.
- Support baseline, midline and endline evaluations including study design, field implementation, quality assurance and analysis.
- Contribute to implementation research, impact evaluations and organisational learning initiatives.
Requirements
- Master's degree in MSW, MBA, Statistics, Rural Management or a related field.
- 2–4 year of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation within public health or international development.
- Strong understanding of Theory of Change, logframes, outcome mapping and evaluation frameworks.
- Experience with data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel or Google Sheets, ODK, Power BI or Google Data Studio and statistical tools such as R or Stata.
- Strong report writing, analytical and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of Odia is preferred.
- Willingness to travel regularly across intervention districts.
