Sohum Trust is a charitable trust working with communities across Karnataka. It runs programmes for people in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hubballi, Belagavi and Shivamogga, and depends on contributors, donors and partner institutions to keep that work going. The trust builds these relationships through regular, in-person contact in each city.

Role

As a Community Executive you travel within your territory to meet people and institutions, build steady relationships with contributors, and raise funds for the trust's programmes. You plan and run marketing campaigns that reach the right audience, check how well they work, and improve them. The trust trains confirmed candidates, so this suits a fresher or someone with up to two years of experience who is ready to start right away.

Responsibilities

• Identify the target audience and goals for each marketing and outreach campaign.
• Research and build marketing strategies, and track how well they are working.
• Create content for marketing and fundraising campaigns, and stay updated on current marketing trends.
• Raise funds through various channels to support Sohum Trust's programs, including business development and institutional outreach.
• Travel within the assigned territory to meet people, institutions, and contributors, and build long-term relationships with them.
• Manage and allocate the marketing and outreach budget correctly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, social work, or a related field (BSW or MSW preferred).
• 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills, along with creativity and initiative.
• Comfortable using social media and other digital tools for outreach and marketing.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory to meet people and institutions.
