Bhumi is building one of India's largest volunteer movements, aiming to engage 10 lakh volunteers by 2030 through Bhumi Clubs, a grassroots network of student volunteers and leaders driving hyperlocal change in their own communities. Every Bhumi volunteer works toward becoming an active changemaker for a better India.

Role

The Consultant will build and grow Bhumi's college club network to strengthen youth volunteerism, while focusing specifically on turning club volunteers and college relationships into a steady pipeline of Fellowship candidates. Success means a clear, trackable path from a volunteer's first conversation with Bhumi to their Fellowship application.

Responsibilities

• Support Fellowship hiring targets from Bhumi Clubs and partner colleges
• Work with club leaders and college stakeholders to promote Fellowship opportunities
• Identify and nurture potential Fellowship candidates early through campaigns, info sessions, and one-on-one conversations
• Build and maintain a live candidate pipeline with visibility at every stage
• Support Fellowship campaigns within club colleges, coordinating with campaign leads to track candidates
• Navigate college systems, including faculty coordinators, placement cells, and student bodies, to build consistent visibility for Fellowship opportunities
• Provide regular progress updates against hiring targets to Clubs and Fellowship stakeholders

Requirements

• Any graduate degree, with relevant experience in volunteer engagement and outreach
• 1 to 3 years of experience working with students, volunteers, or educational institutions preferred
• Ability to spot leadership potential in people who haven't yet recognized it in themselves
• Comfortable with long-term relationship-building and moving people from interest to commitment
• Strong influencing and listening skills, especially in one-on-one conversations with students and institutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Highly self-driven, able to manage a pipeline and prioritize independently
• Must be below 30 years of age
• Minimum commitment of 1 year required
