Role
The Fundraising Officer will act as a Conservation Ambassador for WWF-India, engaging donors and supporters to build awareness of India's biodiversity and generate funds for the organization's conservation work.
Responsibilities
- Create resourceful ways to spread awareness about India's biodiversity and convey WWF-India's mission, vision, and programs to potential donors
- Contact donors through calls to explain WWF-India's work clearly and generate funds for conservation efforts
- Build and cultivate a network of dedicated donors and volunteers, developing long-term donor relationships and upgrading them through the donor pyramid
- Handle inbound and outbound donor communications via phone, email, and mail, addressing queries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain and update supporter information in the database, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of work experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build and sustain long-term donor relationships
- Comfort with donor database management and maintaining data accuracy
