Role
As Head of Human Resources, you will lead THANAL's HR team and work closely with senior leadership to build a caring, fair and high-performing workplace. You will shape HR strategy and policies, guide hiring and staff growth, and make sure the organisation follows labour laws, so that the people doing THANAL's work are well supported.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the HR team, building teamwork, ownership and steady growth.
- Develop and carry out HR strategies that support the organisation's vision and long-term goals.
- Design, review and strengthen HR policies and procedures so they are fair, consistent and compliant.
- Oversee end-to-end hiring and workforce planning to attract and keep the right people.
- Drive employee engagement work that builds a healthy, inclusive and positive workplace.
- Lead performance management, succession planning and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with all labour laws and statutory rules.
- Partner with department heads and senior leaders on organisation development and people decisions.
- Oversee pay, benefits, HR operations, employee relations, onboarding and exit processes.
- Track HR metrics and recommend changes that help the organisation work better.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of work experience in human resources.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Kozhikode, Kerala.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Proven ability to create and put in place HR policies and processes.
- Experience leading and mentoring a team.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A strategic thinker who also rolls up their sleeves to solve people problems.
- A caring, people-centred leader with strong interpersonal skills.
- High integrity, professionalism and respect for confidentiality.
- A real interest in building a positive workplace culture and helping the organisation grow.
