About

Thanal is a Kerala-based humanitarian organisation founded in 2008 in Vadakara by a group of local community members and professionals. Formally registered as Daya Rehabilitation Trust, Thanal works across healthcare, welfare, and education with a focus on holistic rehabilitation for the most vulnerable. What started as a single shelter home has grown into one of the largest community-based organisations in India, now operating across 19 states and 2 Union Territories with over 3,600 staff and 20,000 volunteers. Thanal's approach goes beyond providing immediate relief. The organisation works to ensure that beneficiaries and their families are fully reintegrated into social and economic life. thanal (1).jpeg
