Annapoorna Trust works to make sure no child in India goes to school hungry. The Trust reaches government school children with morning nutrition, so that a child can learn instead of waiting all day for a meal. Its work runs on the belief that a simple, regular meal changes what a child's whole life can become. That work is funded by people who choose to give, one conversation and one relationship at a time. This role sits within Annapoorna Trust's fundraising function, which raises money from individual donors so those meals keep reaching children.

Role

The Manager for Donor Outreach and Fundraising is the bridge between people who have the capacity to give and children whose lives can be changed by a meal. You will find individual donors, build real relationships with them, and carry each conversation from the first meeting through to a firm commitment. The role is target driven and involves travel and field work, and is based in Chikkaballapur or Bangalore.

Responsibilities

• Research and map individual donors, including high net worth individuals, whose values match the Trust's mission.
• Reach out to potential donors through personal meetings, phone calls, emails and networking.
• Build pitches and presentations that make the case for supporting children's nutrition.
• Lead funding conversations with confidence and sensitivity, from the first meeting to the final commitment.
• Drive donor engagement across India through well planned events.
• Bring fresh outreach ideas that inspire individual giving and build donor interest.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective individual donors at all times.
• Grow that pipeline steadily so new giving keeps coming in.
• Meet and exceed the annual individual donor fundraising target.
• Travel and work in the field to meet and engage potential donors.

Requirements

• A graduate degree in any subject.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in individual donor fundraising.
• Experience approaching and building relationships with high net worth individuals.
• Strong command over English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in speaking with potential donors and building rapport.
• Ability to prepare and deliver pitches and presentations.
• Comfort working to an annual fundraising target.
• Willingness to travel and work on the field.
• Willingness to support donor engagement work across India.
• Based in or able to relocate to Chikkaballapur or Bangalore.
• Care for children's nutrition and education work.
