Manager – Talent Acquisition in New Delhi | SaveLIFE Foundation
SaveLIFE Foundation
SaveLIFE Foundation works to stop people dying on India's roads. It treats road crashes not as accidents but as a public health and governance problem that can be solved, working across policy, road engineering, enforcement, trauma care, and data science. Over 18 years the organisation led the campaign behind India's Good Samaritan Law in 2016, contributed to the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act in 2019, and cut fatalities by 58% on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, 65% on National Highway 48, and 45% on the Yamuna Expressway, verified by independent audit. Its Zero Fatality Corridor and Zero Fatality District models are now being adopted by state governments and the central government, backed by agreements with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, nine state governments, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, and AIIMS Rishikesh. The goal is to halve India's road crash deaths by 2030, in line with India's SDG 3.6 commitment.
This role sits within SaveLIFE Foundation's human resources function, which builds and supports the teams delivering this work across the country.

Role
The Manager, Talent Acquisition leads hiring from start to finish across every function and level at SaveLIFE Foundation, including senior and hard-to-fill roles. This is recruitment treated as a craft rather than a queue of vacancies: mapping a talent market, finding strong people who are not looking for a job, and making an honest case for why this work is worth joining. The role works hand in hand with functional heads and hiring managers, uses AI and modern sourcing tools where they genuinely help, and protects both the quality of hires and the experience of every candidate.
Responsibilities
- Partner with functional heads and HR leadership to turn workforce needs into clear hiring plans.
- Manage recruitment across multiple functions and levels, including critical and leadership positions.
- Build sourcing strategies shaped by role complexity, urgency, seniority, and what the talent market actually offers.
- Own the full recruitment cycle from requisition through offer acceptance and handover to onboarding.
- Map relevant organisations and talent pools, and reach out to strong passive candidates who are not job hunting.
- Use AI enabled sourcing tools to find and reach candidates faster and more precisely.
- Present SaveLIFE Foundation credibly to candidates, explaining the ownership and impact the role carries.
- Keep candidates engaged and interested through a multi step interview process.
- Advise hiring managers on market availability, candidate quality, pay expectations, and realistic timelines.
- Set recruitment timelines, secure timely feedback from interview panels, and escalate blockers early.
- Maintain consistent hiring processes across functions, including structured interview frameworks, evaluation rubrics, and offer workflows.
- Keep accurate pipeline data and dashboards on Zoho, and report regularly to HR leadership and functional heads.
- Design a respectful candidate experience with clear communication and feedback at every stage.
- Refine the organisation's employee value proposition using candidate feedback and market insight.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, ideally across multiple functions and levels.
- A relevant qualification in HR, organisational psychology, or management; a postgraduate degree or MBA in HR is preferred.
- A track record of engaging hard to reach passive candidates and convincing them to join an organisation.
- Experience hiring mid to senior level positions and running several vacancies at the same time.
- Strong stakeholder management, partnering closely with functional leaders and hiring managers.
- Proven ability to run recruitment consistently at scale, not just close roles one at a time.
- Genuine interest in AI and modern sourcing tools, and comfort testing and adopting new platforms.
- Experience managing recruitment vendors and external hiring partners.
- Strong written and spoken communication, able to represent the mission credibly to senior candidates.
- Sound judgement in spotting candidates who will do well in a fast paced, mission driven setting.
- High integrity, discretion, and professionalism, with strong ownership of hiring outcomes.
- Data oriented with close attention to detail, and comfortable managing several priorities at once.
- Collaborative, able to influence without formal authority, and committed to fair and inclusive hiring.
Benefits
- A platform to influence infrastructure and public policy in India at real scale.
- Work with the only organisation in India combining system reform with on-ground road safety action.
- Cross-sector exposure across engineering, governance, public health, and civic engagement.
- An entrepreneurial environment that values innovation, courage, and strong execution.
- A chance to be part of a globally recognised effort that saves thousands of lives each year.
