Narrative & Communications Manager in Jaipur | Kohmorehbee Consulting | ₹10-16 LPA
Kohmorehbee Consulting
Kohmorehbee Consulting helps India's non-profits tell the story of the work they do. Its clients range from grassroots tribal collectives to large national institutions. Many of these groups do extraordinary work, but their stories rarely show it. Everything Kohmorehbee delivers reaches people as a story, so clear and honest writing sits at the heart of its work. This role sits within Kohmorehbee's narrative and communications work, which shapes how every client's story reaches funders and the wider world.

Role
As Narrative & Communications Manager, you will own the craft of storytelling across every client Kohmorehbee serves. You will sit with non-profit leaders and programme teams, find what is true and worth funding, and write it into stories that move funders to act. You will carry that writing all the way through to finished, designed materials, and help Kohmorehbee build its own voice online.
Responsibilities
- Meet with Executive Directors and programme teams to understand their work closely
- Find the stories in each programme that are true and that funders will want to support
- Write narratives that help funders understand the work and decide to act
- Turn those narratives into finished, designed decks, case studies and cases for support
- Lead storytelling quality across every client, from small tribal collectives to national institutions
- Use today's digital tools to tell stories in fresh and useful ways
- Build Kohmorehbee's digital presence alongside client work
- Share Kohmorehbee's own story and experiences with the world
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience where development sector work meets serious writing
- Strong understanding of how development programmes, such as livelihoods work, run on the ground
- Proven skill in writing for funders, including proposals, case studies or cases for support
- Ability to write in plain, honest language that avoids sector jargon
- Comfort sitting with senior leaders and programme teams to draw out their stories
- Experience taking written work through to finished, designed collateral
- Working knowledge of today's digital tools for telling stories
- Ability to see stories in everyday work and shape them for different readers
- Willingness to work from Jaipur for the first 3 months
- Readiness to complete a 15-minute writing task as part of the application
Benefits
- Pay of ₹10 to 16 lakhs per year, based on experience
- Stay and living costs in Jaipur covered for the first 3 months
- Option to work remotely after the first 3 months
- Work across a wide range of non-profits, from grassroots groups to national institutions
