WJCF is an Indian nonprofit affiliated with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), a global health organisation working to reduce disease burden in low and middle-income countries. Since 2007, WJCF has partnered with India's Ministry of Health and state health departments across TB, HIV, maternal health, cancer, vector-borne diseases, and digital health. WJCF has been supporting the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) through an embedded Technical Support Unit since 2020, helping accelerate the elimination of vector-borne diseases including malaria, visceral leishmaniasis (kala-azar), and lymphatic filariasis across India. The TSU provides technical and managerial support, data analytics, and innovation adoption to help the government meet its elimination targets.
Role
You will work within the National Centre for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) to deliver data-driven programme insights using multiple sources of health data. You will support data analysis, dashboard development, and reporting to help government officials make better decisions on disease elimination efforts.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate and clean data from multiple sources and conduct detailed analysis to provide actionable insights to NCVBDC officials
- Develop and share standard and custom reports and dashboards for use by national, state, and district programme teams
- Prepare technical briefs and fact sheets to communicate key findings and recommendations across government teams
- Support documentation of programme progress through reports, presentations, and templates for internal use and external sharing
- Conduct periodic field visits to states and districts to identify challenges and address data or programme gaps
- Take on other responsibilities as needed in support of the VBD programme
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in public health, statistics, economics, life sciences, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with at least 1 year of experience
- Prior experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analytics, or dashboard development for funded projects
- Background in life science research, impact evaluation, development consulting, or public sector advisory is preferred
- High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English
- Able to work independently in fast-moving, unstructured environments and collaborate across teams
- Willingness to travel approximately 20 to 30 percent of the time
