It believes real change happens when individuals shift their mindset, especially those in positions of power, so that society becomes more inclusive of excluded communities. Pravah runs learning and action programmes for young people across the country, trains teachers, supports youth led initiatives, helps new organizations grow, and works on youth focused public policy. It reaches over 30,000 young people every year and works with around 100 partner organizations and social entrepreneurs.

Role

The Programme Coordinator will lead Pravah's fundraising research, donor materials and donor engagement, helping the organization build strong, lasting relationships with funders and partners. This role offers close working proximity to senior leadership and full exposure to the fundraising and partnerships function.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research on donors, funding trends and new opportunities relevant to Pravah's work, and turn this research into clear fundraising leads.
  • Represent Pravah at events and conferences to gather sector insights.
  • Lead the development of donor facing materials such as concept notes, pitch decks, briefs and presentations, working closely with the communications and programme teams.
  • Lead the planning of donor meetings, visits and other engagement opportunities, and coordinate with leadership and programme teams to keep them well prepared.
  • Build simple systems for consistent donor follow up and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and updated fundraising records and pipeline trackers that the team can use to make decisions.
  • Review the fundraising pipeline regularly and flag priority opportunities, gaps and risks.
  • Co-lead proposal and budget development, working closely with programme leads and the finance team.
  • Work closely with the Programme, Communications, Finance and Operations teams to move fundraising priorities forward.
  • Build a strong understanding of Pravah's programmes so you can represent the organization well to external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to organization wide culture building, planning and internal systems as needed.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnerships, resource mobilisation or strategic communications.
  • Experience in the social impact or development sector, especially in fundraising or partnerships, is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating external relationships and working across multiple internal teams.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Comfortable using Google or Microsoft Office, Canva and AI tools for research, presentations and project tracking.
  • Confident written and verbal communicator, able to engage donors, partners and internal teams professionally.
  • Able to build and maintain donor and partner relationships with warmth and professionalism.
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams, timelines and stakeholders at once.
  • Able to turn programme work and youth voices into compelling stories for donors.
  • Genuine commitment to youth development, social justice and equity.
  • Strong sense of ownership, able to take responsibility for deliverables and follow through on commitments.
  • High level of integrity, able to handle donor and organizational information with confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel for field visits, donor meetings and events.
