Role
The Project Manager will be the overall in-charge of a Targeted Intervention (TI) project, managing programme implementation as per NACO guidelines, liaising with government departments, supervising field staff, and reporting to the funding agency and Project Director.
Responsibilities
- Oversee overall functioning of the TI project as per NACO operational guidelines and achieve project deliverables against targets
- Be based at the field office, organize weekly review meetings, and supervise other staff
- Support implementation of the revamped TI strategy and programmatic Mapping Population Size Estimation (MPSE) as per NACP-V guidelines
- Establish linkages with referral services, stakeholders, and advocacy networks
- Organize in-house capacity building for staff
- Travel to project area hotspots for 10-15 days a month to supervise Peer Educators and Outreach Workers and interact with high-risk groups, maintaining field visit records
- Support advocacy and linkage activities
- Analyse project progress and share findings with action points in monthly staff meetings
- Assess staff capacity-building needs and communicate with DISHA/SETU and/or SACS
- Monitor transit intervention activities where applicable
- Conduct weekly, biweekly, or monthly review meetings with project staff and Peer Educators
- Report to the Project Director and TI nodal officer at SACS and/or CPO at DISHA/SETU
- Submit timely monthly programme performance data in SIMS/CMIS or other reporting formats
- Submit Statements of Expenditure (SOEs) and provide data required for report preparation
Requirements
- Post-graduate in Social Sciences/Social Work with 1 year of district-level programme experience in health, livelihood, rural development, microfinance, or HIV/AIDS programmes, OR Graduate in Social Sciences/Social Work with minimum 3 years of similar experience
- Familiarity with government health policies and programmes
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a small team with flexible working style
- Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and case study compilation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel to the field for at least 10 days a month
- Strong management capacity to monitor, report, and guide a team
