Prakhyata Abhinand Charitable Trust (PACT India) is a non-profit organisation working in disability and rehabilitation. They care for orphaned, abandoned, and surrendered children with special needs living in Child Care Institutions and Adoption Agencies. PACT India works across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, making sure every child in their network gets the support and therapy they need to grow and thrive.
Role
PACT India is looking for a Physiotherapist to provide hands-on therapy and developmental support to children with special needs across partner orphanages and care institutions. The role involves regular travel to different locations in Karnataka.
Responsibilities
- Assess each child's physical and developmental needs and plan therapy sessions based on their goals
- Conduct regular physiotherapy and rehabilitation sessions and track each child's progress over time
- Work closely with caregivers, institution staff, and partner organisations to ensure each child gets complete care
- Maintain clear records of therapy sessions and write progress reports
- Travel to partner Child Care Institutions and community centres to deliver services on the ground
Requirements
- Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) with at least 2 years of experience, or Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) with at least 5 years of experience
- Experience working with children, persons with disabilities, or in rehabilitation settings is a plus
- Comfortable with field travel across work locations
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team and with diverse groups of people
