Prakhyata Abhinand Charitable Trust (PACT India) is a non-profit organisation working in disability and rehabilitation. They care for orphaned, abandoned, and surrendered children with special needs living in Child Care Institutions and Adoption Agencies. PACT India works across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka, making sure every child in their network gets the support and therapy they need to grow and thrive.
Role
PACT India is looking for a Rehabilitation Therapist to provide hands-on therapeutic support to children with special needs across partner orphanages and care institutions. This role involves regular travel to different locations in Karnataka and is open to fresh graduates who are passionate about working with children.
Responsibilities
- Provide rehabilitation and therapeutic support to children with special needs in Child Care Institutions
- Assess each child's developmental and functional needs and help plan therapy sessions accordingly
- Conduct regular rehabilitation sessions and support each child's overall progress and well-being
- Work closely with caregivers, institution staff, and partner organisations to ensure complete and coordinated care
- Maintain clear session records and write basic progress updates
- Travel to partner Child Care Institutions and community centres for on-ground service delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Rehabilitation Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or a related area
- Freshers are welcome to apply; no prior work experience required
- Willingness to travel regularly to different work locations
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with children, caregivers, and a diverse team
- A caring attitude and genuine interest in supporting children with special needs
