Role

The Program Manager - Frontline will lead youth-led civic action on the ground across Assam. The role focuses on running workshops, building Solve Ninja networks across schools and colleges, and working closely with government partners to grow active citizenship

Responsibilities

  • Engage students and young adults across schools, colleges, and communities to grow networks of Solve Ninjas.
  • Lead workshops and hands-on sessions that help young people spot local civic and environmental issues and take action.
  • Mentor youth in civic leadership, problem-solving, and community work.
  • Plan and run events from small group workshops to large youth outreach programs, including all logistics and on-ground execution.
  • Build strong relationships with government officials, schools, NGOs, and community leaders to drive participation.
  • Manage program budgets, track spending, and use resources well.
  • Spot operational and programmatic gaps and put simple fixes in place.
  • Coordinate with vertical leads and cross-functional teams to improve program quality.
  • Guide team members and mentors to deliver high-quality engagement.
  • Document activities, participation, and impact data clearly and on time.
  • Use Reap Benefit's tech platforms to support sessions and reporting.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in youth engagement, program management, or community engagement, ideally with government-funded projects.
  • Good understanding of how the government ecosystem works.
  • Strong facilitation and mentoring skills, especially with adolescents and young adults.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, especially with government officials and educational institutions.
  • Ability to plan and execute programs end-to-end in a fast-paced setting.
  • Comfortable with field work and hands-on implementation.
  • Clear written and spoken communication.
  • Fluency in English and Assamese is preferred. Hindi or other regional languages are a plus.
  • Based in Jorhat or willing to relocate to Jorhat.
  • Curiosity, creativity, a problem-solving mindset, and a good sense of humour.
