Role

A senior leadership position within the Health Unit focused on managing financial oversight and donor compliance for large-scale health projects. You will ensure that funds meant for life-saving initiatives like universal immunization are used transparently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of financial strategies for health projects in alignment with donor agreements.
  • Manage multi-donor budgets and ensure resources are allocated transparently across complex project workplans.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, utilization certificates, and donor reports with high accuracy.
  • Coordinate cash flow forecasting and financial tracking to provide real-time visibility on fund utilization.
  • Monitor financial risks and unusual transactions to safeguard the organization’s fiduciary integrity.
  • Strengthen internal processes for payments and documentation to ensure the project is always audit-ready.
  • Guide and mentor the project finance team, ensuring effective workload distribution and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with government and state-level partners to manage the transition from donor to state financing.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or a professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA). A Bachelor’s degree with 2 extra years of experience is also accepted.
  • Minimum 2 years (with Master’s) or 4 years (with Bachelor’s) in financial management and personnel supervision.
  • Fluency in both English and Hindi is required.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (like Oracle, SAP, or Quantum) and advanced MS Office tools for data visualization.
  • Understanding of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and donor reporting compliance.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance colleagues.
