Role

Resolve to Save Lives is looking for four consultants to help build a technical package on lead poisoning prevention in partnership with the World Health Organization. Each consultant will lead the development of one of four modules covering different aspects of lead exposure and prevention. This is a remote, independent contractor role estimated at 75 to 100 percent of full-time effort.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update existing systematic reviews on lead poisoning where relevant, using the same search criteria as the original
  • Search peer-reviewed and gray literature databases to gather and summarise evidence for the module
  • Map key stakeholders, ongoing efforts, interventions, and knowledge gaps in the lead sector
  • Draft and refine module outlines in line with WHO and RTSL guidelines and deadlines
  • Write sections of the technical module based on finalised outlines
  • Respond to feedback and edits from RTSL, WHO, peer reviewers, and end users in a timely manner
  • Present module content to experts and receive live feedback when needed
  • Attend in-person convenings with the RTSL team for strategic drafting and review sessions

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Public Policy, International Development, or a related field
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience in global health or development
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing and policy or systematic reviews
  • Deep expertise in at least one of the four lead-related areas listed above
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesise complex evidence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Good project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks independently
  • Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
  • Able to attend periodic in-person meetings when required
  • Engagement: 3 months initially, with possibility of extension up to 4 additional months

Benefits

  • Work directly with the World Health Organization on a globally significant health initiative
  • Contribute to a technical package that could prevent millions of deaths from lead poisoning
  • Flexible remote work arrangement
  • Opportunity for contract extension based on performance and project needs
