Role
As a Resource Person, you will work alongside government school teachers to help them grow professionally and become more effective in the classroom. You will support their learning, build a community of educators, and help run Teacher Learning Centres at the block level.
Responsibilities
- Design and run professional development programs for teachers and head teachers covering education perspectives, subject knowledge (with a focus on Early Language and Math), classroom methods, and academic leadership.
- Support peer learning by working with groups of teachers on subject-specific topics connected to the school curriculum.
- Organise workshops and community events (melas) in collaboration with teachers.
- Encourage reflective practices such as diary writing, group discussions, and critical review of programs and one's own contribution.
- Help manage Teacher Learning Centres across different blocks.
- Practice and promote democratic values within the team and broader community.
- Support colleagues on various projects and contribute to district-level plans, events, and annual initiatives.
- Continue growing academically and personally as part of the Foundation's culture.
Requirements
- Graduation with at least 5 years of teaching experience, OR a Postgraduate degree with at least 2 years of teaching experience.
- Candidates with relevant field experience in the social sector are also welcome to apply.
- Willingness to travel within the district and state.
- Proficiency in Hindi or Kannada, along with English.
