Role
Lead the writing, editing, and development of research publications that help policymakers, researchers, and health practitioners make better decisions. You will turn complex data and findings into clear, useful content.
Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting, editing, and structural development of research outputs including issue briefs, technical reports, policy analyses, and peer-reviewed manuscripts
- Write executive summaries, key messages, and policy implications that explain what the research means and why it matters to policymakers and health professionals
- Help prepare and submit research papers to journals, including coordinating with co-authors, responding to reviewer comments, and preparing conference abstracts and presentations
- Conduct literature reviews and track academic journals and global health reports to stay updated on new evidence and policy developments
- Combine findings from multiple datasets and sources into short, clear analytical summaries and maintain reference libraries across research outputs
- Review and improve drafts from team members to strengthen clarity, structure, and arguments, ensuring consistency with organizational editorial standards
- Adapt research outputs into multiple formats such as reports, policy briefs, web content, and summaries without losing analytical accuracy
- Coordinate the production and digital publishing of research materials across internal teams, editorial, legal, design, and website vendors to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Support media materials and press outreach in line with research findings
- Develop case studies, program stories, and lessons-learned briefs that capture implementation experience and policy impact across countries
- Build and organize internal knowledge resources such as synthesis notes and documentation that strengthen institutional memory
Requirements
- Master's degree in Public Health, Data Science, Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Economics, or a related field (PhD preferred)
- At least 8 years of experience in research writing, policy analysis, academic publishing, or editorial work in public health or policy
- Proven ability to write and edit policy briefs, technical reports, and peer-reviewed papers, including managing the full journal submission process
- Ability to conduct quantitative or qualitative analysis and turn complex findings into simple, clear content for diverse audiences
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams across time zones, incorporating feedback from multiple contributors
- Experience in international or multi-country research settings is a plus
- Skilled in reference management tools, academic citation practices, and deadline management
- Excellent written and spoken English with high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
